Growing your own food

While the markets are full of adulterated food items, its not a bad idea to grow some of our food. Besides kitchen gardening is a traditional practice which has started to catch bit of a trend these days. The problem that we all face with the idea is that our habitation is not like before. many of us live in a 2BHK or a 3BHK flat where space management becomes a real task. To solve this problem here's an alternative. Container gardening.

Although container gardening is limited to few food crops only, it still make a good kitchen garden. Some of the food crops that you can grow in containers are:

  • Salad (Tomato, onion, carrots, radish etc.)
  • Vegetables ( Brinjal, cauliflower, chili, capsicum, broccoli etc.)
  • Fruits(strawberries)
  • Herbs ( coriander, mint, curry leaves, etc.)

I have grown a few of these myself and got great results. growing your own food not only is better for your health but also give mental satisfaction that cannot be achieved by buying it from the market. here are a few pictures of my container kitchen garden products.
